Me:

Hey! My name is Leo, but online I'm better known as Awez (like the wonderful wizard). I'm a 2D Artist and Animator born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana with a passion for color, mycology, pharmacology, artist's materials, and technology.

The Site:

My purpose in putting this site online is to have something to quickly refer to as an all-in-one jumping off point for anyone interested in my work, as well as a way to organize my thoughts and share things that don't fit nicely on social media.

When making this site, I drew heavy inspiration from the design philosophy of the older Internet, indicated by the fact this site feels god awful to navigate on mobile, but hey, at least it loads quick! Additionally, I wanted an excuse to dip my toes into web development, challenging myself to write this whole thing by hand just using pure HTML and CSS, no fancy frameworks (just 11ty), and minimal Javascript, learning everything as I go.
